Barb Hernandez / Rhythm Guitar / Backup Vocals
 
Barbresides in Gurnee, IL. She currently works in Human Resources with a therapeutic rehab-staffing agency. Multi-talented, she plays keyboards, guitar, and sings. She dedicated herself to the cause of Christ at the age of 15. Marrying her high school sweetheart, (director of Gang Outreach Inc.) they went on to be part of the nucleus of the then fledgling Messianic Jewish Movement. She joined the band then named Living Water in 1995. Along the way she has worked at a local rescue mission, an area nursing home, the county jail, and wherever she is needed. She has a genuine zest for helping others and continues her involvement in these ministries.
 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 
Brian Duensing / Bass / Lead Vocals
 
Brian resides in Ingleside IL. He is currently employed as an assistant chief engineer for an international commercial real estate developer. In 1992 he was co-founder of the Apostles of Rock' predecessor Living Water. In 1993, together with Cindy, his wife of 16 yrs., incorporated Living Word Outreach Inc. Along the way he became a licensed minister with a nationally recognized denomination and worked at a local rescue mission, nursing home, county jail and was a probation volunteer for the 19th district juvenile court. He brings the message of Christ to the outcasts of society and believes the band to be God' s most effective ministry.
 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  
Dana Butler / Drummer
 
Dana resides in Ingleside, IL. He currently runs his own tile setting company. Dana has played drums in one form or another his whole life. When Dana was a small boy he used to line up his mom's pots and pans on the kitchen floor and beat them with spoons. He played in local bands "Willows Halo" , and "Angels Eye" along with guitar player Scott Bulava before moving out of the area. In 1998, moving back to Lake County, he joined Apostles of Rock, which was then named Reaper. He is currently seeking a deeper relationship with Christ through scripture. Due to his demanding work schedule his volunteer time is limited but he is a loyal and dedicated worker, bringing many of his family and friends to hear the message of Christ.
 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  
Scott Bulava / Lead Guitar
 
Scott resides in Round Lake Beach IL. He is currently a Graphic Designer / Web Designer, with proficiency in Fine Art and multi-media. Scott has played guitar in bands for 15 yrs. After playing clubs around the Chicago area with local talents such as "Willows Halo", and "Angels Eye" in the late 80's; in 1992 he dedicated all of his talents to the cause of promoting Christianity through music. He was co-founder of the Apostles of Rock' predecessor Living Water. Along the way he has worked at a local rescue mission, and an area nursing home helping those in need. Scott loves young people and enthusiastically extols the virtues of Christian Rock.
